Fuzzy control of CNC honing machines is actually a type of nonlinear control, belonging to the category of intelligent control. Because fuzzy control does not require knowledge of the precise mathematical model of the controlled object and has strong robustness, real-time control of the system can be achieved based on the input-output data of the actual system and the operating experience of on-site operators.
Machine tools are the carriers of advanced manufacturing technology and the basic production means of the equipment industry. The machine tool industry is a fundamental and strategic industry related to national economy, people's livelihood, and advanced national defense. Honing machines, as important equipment for the precision machining of cylinders and other parts, occupy an important position in the machining industry. At present, the research on advanced honing machine technology in my country, especially the control technology of CNC honing machines, has become a bottleneck for the advancement of my country's honing processing industry.
Fuzzy control systems are intelligent automatic control systems based on fuzzy mathematics, fuzzy language-based knowledge representation, and fuzzy logic reasoning. They are digital control systems with a feedback channel and a closed-loop structure, employing computer control technology, and are characterized by strong robustness. However, the application of fuzzy control is still limited, and most currently used fuzzy control algorithms have their limitations.
